However, there are some home remedies that can help alleviate the symptoms of gum problems.
Saltwater rinses: Mix 1 teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water & swish it around in your mouth for 30 seconds before spitting it out.
This can help reduce inflammation & kill bacteria. Tea tree oil: Dilute a few drops of tea tree oil in a carrier oil like coconut oil & massage it into your gums for a few minutes.
Tea tree oil has antibacterial & anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce gum inflammation & fight off infections.
Aloe vera: Apply fresh aloe vera gel directly to your gums to help reduce inflammation & soothe any pain or discomfort.
Oil pulling: Swish a tablespoon of coconut or sesame oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes before spitting it out.
Turmeric: Mix 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder with a few drops of water to make a paste & apply it to your gums.
