Home remedies for malaria

Malaria is a serious & potentially life-threatening disease that requires prompt medical attention. 

While home remedies can help alleviate some of the symptoms of malaria, they should never be used as a substitute for medical treatment.

Ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties & may help reduce fever & alleviate nausea.

Turmeric: Turmeric has anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties & may help boost the immune system. Adding turmeric to food or taking turmeric supplements may help support recovery.

Papaya leaves: Papaya leaves have been used traditionally to treat malaria. Boil papaya leaves in water, strain the liquid, & drink a small amount several times a day.

Grapefruit: Grapefruit has antimalarial properties & may help reduce fever. Eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice may help manage symptoms.

Coconut water: Coconut water is a natural electrolyte & can help prevent dehydration, which is a common complication of malaria.
