Precautions to take during periods

During periods, it is important to take certain precautions to ensure good hygiene & to prevent any infections.

Change sanitary pads or tampons frequently: You should change your sanitary pad or tampon every 4-6 hours, or as frequently as necessary to prevent leaking or discomfort. This helps to prevent infections. 

Wash your genital area regularly: You should wash your genital area regularly with water & mild soap to keep it clean & avoid infections. 

Use clean underwear: Use clean underwear during your period & change it daily to prevent any bacteria growth. 

Avoid scented products: Avoid using scented soaps, talcum powder, & other scented products in your genital area, as they can cause irritation & infection.

Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water & fluids during your period to help flush out toxins & reduce bloating.

Eat a balanced diet: Eat a healthy & balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, & whole grains to help ease menstrual symptoms. 

Exercise regularly: Exercise can help reduce menstrual cramps & improve your mood. Just make sure to wear comfortable clothing & avoid high-impact exercises.
