Some Facts about our brain

Research has shown that our native language can shape the way our brains are wired.

This is because different languages require different cognitive processes to process & understand them.

As a result, our brains may develop certain patterns of neural connections that are specific to  native language.

For example, studies have shown that the brain regions used for processing language, such as Broca's area & Wernicke's area.

Are different in bilingual individuals depending on which language they learned first.

This suggests that the neural connections in these regions are influenced by the language(s) that the individual learned during their critical period of language development.

Additionally, studies have also shown that the grammatical structures of different languages can influence the way that people perceive the world around them.

For example, languages that require speakers to describe the location of objects in relation to other objects.

May result in speakers having a better spatial awareness than speakers of languages that do not require this.

Overall, the way our brains are wired is influenced by a range of factors, including our genes, experiences, & environment.

Our native language is just one of the many factors that can shape our neural connections.

More research is needed to fully understand the extent of its influence.
